Gail Abernathy-McKadden is a commentator for the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella.

Gail was formerly an a cappella singer herself, of the group The Minstrel Cycles. Along with John Smith, a fellow a cappella singer, she commentates for the ICCAs.

Pitch PerfectEdit

Over the course of the film, Gail commentates for the ICCAs, along with fellow commentator John Smith, though at times they make remarks that are inappropriate for television broadcast. Gail and John both favor The Treblemakers, but openly express their dislike for The Barden Bellas

Pitch Perfect 2Edit

Gail, a commentator for the ICCAs, tends to be rather open about ther thoughts, and doesn't think twice about what she says – a trait she shares with John. The comments she makes during a broadcast would more than likely get her fired in an actual TV show.

John says "The bad boys of acapella have just gotten badder." and Gail says, "Whoo! That's right John, I might have to excuse myself and go freshen up the downtown." John replies, "Can I help?"

John: The bad boys of a cappella have just gotten badder.
Gail: Whoo! That's right, John, I'm gonna have to excuse myself to freshen up the downtown.
John: Can I help?
Nothing makes a woman feel more like a girl than a man who sings like a boy.
